Most of the things you mention are done by volunteers, although there is most likely a biologist there overseeing the volunteers, or an environmental organization that heads this type of work up that employs one or more biologists. As a wildlife biologist I do various bird surveys, nest searching and monitoring, small mammal trapping, reptile/amphibian trapping, essments of habitats, some restoration work, overseeing mitigation work, vegetation sampling, report writing, bat surveys and ysis, etc.
