Operatic Pay Scale: do you know who gets how much(or how much more)?

I have no idea what the Met pays singers but the Orchestra has gained pay parity with The New York Philharmonic which is the highest in the USA. The Met has always padded the salaries of the biggest stars by paying them for covering and small roles, Pavarotti sang the Italian Singer in Rosencavilier for example, his full fee for 5 minutes work. The Met also has an advantage because singers can come and stay in one city for a long time, singing one or two rolls at the Met and doing concerts with local and visiting Orchestras , recitals and quick trips along the East Coast doing more recitals and concerts. The Met also has the advantage of giving singers more expoures through the radio broadcasts, theater transmissions, TV and DVD.
