Why does Georgie Bush have a West Texas Accent when hes from New England?

Bush was born in conneticut and spent the majority of his early live their. Bush then was educated in Amherst which is in M. then he went to Yale for college. He did spend some time in Texas but he was in Houston mostly and they don't have West Texas accents their. How could he have picked up an accent so quickly from that litle bit of time he spent in Midland. His parents don't have West Tex. Accents. Could it be its just a Character he is playing?
